Homework Expectations

The primary purpose of homework is practice, an extension of the day’s work, time to work on long-term projects or an investigation of something for class discussion, not introduction of a new skill. Students should be able to complete it independently. If unable to complete an assignment independently, please notify your teacher. 7th—8th grade teachers work together as a team to plan for approximately one hour nightly, unless a student opts to take on extra courses or enrichment, such as language, algebra, music, band, etc.

Math and Science 12.3.14

Math and Science 12.2.14

MATH:
*Three Manga High practice sessions have been assigned to be worked on throughout the week (minimal expectation is a bronze medal on all three by the end of the day on Friday, 12.5.14).
*Problem 3.1 (pg. 56-classwork) and ACEs 1, 2 and 9-13 (pgs 62-67) due tomorrow, 12.4.14

SCIENCE:
*Many students have began to list/gather/bring in materials they will need for constructing their terrarium (I will provide basic soil, charcoal, pebbles and peat moss).  We are hoping to start the process on Friday or Monday (depending if they all have necessary materials).
*Complete "My Bottle Aquarium" worksheet (using the notes you took while watching the clips on ecosystems and aquatic ecosystems in class) for Friday, 12.5.14
